The top five, in order, according to a 2007 U.S. Census survey, are Spanish, 10 million; Chinese, 1 million; Tagalog, 700,000; Vietnamese, 500,000; Korean, 350,000 (followed by Farsi/Persian, Armenian, Russian, Arabic, Khmer/Cambodian, Hmong and Laotian).
