State Sens. Hoon-Yung Hopgood (D–Taylor) and Steve Bieda (D–Warren) recently worked together to make May 14 Hmong Day in the state. Hmong Day recognizes the Hmong combat soldiers who served from 1961-1975, in the Secret War of Laos, during the Vietnam War.
